East End met up with pianist Szu-Yi Li for the second installment of their exploration of quintet literature. The centerpiece of the evening was the world-premiere of Graham Lynch's Symphony Cocteau, a brilliant new addition to the saxophone repertory. EE has worked with Graham for several years, and we're thrilled to feature his music as our first major quintet commission. Check out some of the highlights!
East End having way too much fun at the University of Alabama. We had a wonderful time working with Jon Noffsinger's students. A performance of Bolcom's Concerto Grosso with Dr. O and the UA Wind Ensemble was the perfect way to close our residency. Roll tide!
